Do I have to pay to use Konnect?
Konnect does NOT charge any fees to join or to be an active member in the community. You can create an account and interact with clients, professionals and businesses. Additionally, all of the Konnect tools such as the booking calendar, blogs, reviews, event invitations, reports and more can be used for free. For clients, the only thing that costs money is paying Service Professionals for the appointment or service (which can be handled through the Wallet function using PayPal). For Pros, additional storage space can be purchased to upload extra videos. Also, promotion through the Featured Listing program can be purchased. Konnect does NOT take a fee when clients pay Pros, although PayPal does assess a transaction fee.
How do I search?
There are two ways to search the Pro or Client database. When you log in, the app defaults to the Explore page where you automatically see the closest Pros or Clients (depending on how you identified yourself during registration). If you registered as a client, you will see the closest Pros. If you registered as a Pro, you will see the closest clients.
A second way to search is to select the search icon in the upper right corner (magnifying glass icon) and then enter either a name or a specialty into the search page and you will see suggested members.
How do I set or change my Status?
When you sign up for Konnect, your default status is set at “Available Now.” To change this, open the lefthand dashboard (click 3 short lines at top left) and then select “Settings.” From the Settings page, select “Set Status.”
How do I change my profile information?
Members can update their profile by clicking on the icon in the topmost left corner (3 short lines) which opens up a lefthand dashboard. By selecting Profile, then selecting Edit Profile, you can change any of your profile information.
How do I change my account settings?
Members can change their Settings by clicking on the icon in the topmost left corner (3 short lines) which opens up a lefthand dashboard. By selecting Settings, you can access Notifications and Status.
Where do I enter my PayPal ID?
On the Wallet page accessible through the lefthand dashboard.
What is the Featured Listing program?
The Featured Listing program enables Pros to reach highly targeted potential clients in 2 ways – Explore page and search. When clients log on, their default Explore page includes a list of Pros who are “Available Now” and “Top Pros” based on location. Clients may also search for Pros by clicking on the search icon in top right corner and entering the Pro’s name. In both instances, Pros who have bought a Featured Listing are inserted into the search results and marked with a badge. If no one has purchased the featured slots in a given US county or international territory, the only search results returned are based on location and review ratings.
Am I a client?
If you are in the market to find a personal service professional then you should register on the site as a client.
What profile information is public?
No information is viewable by the general public. Registered users of Konnect (including Pros and other Clients) can see limited Profile information through the app as follows: Username, registered city and any reviews of Pros that the Client may have written.
How do I search for a Pro?

How do I contact a Pro?
After logging in, you will automatically see the Explore page which shows you the closest Pros who are either “Available Now” or “Top Pros” as ranked by client reviews. If you want to send the Pro a chat message, after clicking on the Pro’s profile, select the message icon at the top of the page towards the right (paragraph icon). This will open up a chat message field to the Pro. If you would like to book an appointment, click on the “Calendar” option to see available work days (which will appear boldfaced), and then click on the blue schedule icon at the bottom of the page on the right.
How do I make an appointment?
Select a Pro by clicking on their profile either from the Explore page or from search. Then select the Calendar option to see available work days, and then click on the blue schedule icon at the bottom of the page on the right.
How do I sign up for a class or event?
If you see a class or event on a Pro’s calendar that you want to join, click on the date to see the line description of the event. Then click on the event, which will take you to the event page, where you can request to be invited. The creator of the event will automatically be sent a message requesting that she add you to the event. If she adds you to the event, you will be notified both through an app notification and an email.
How do I rate a Pro?
After every appointment that was booked through the Konnect calendar, you will receive message in Notifications asking you to rate your Pro. Once you log on, go to Notifications (accessible through the lefthand dashboard) where you will see the review request. Click on the name of the Pro within the Review notification and you will be taken to a Review page to complete.
Is my Konnect account valid across multiple categories?
Yes, your Client Profile, Username and Wallet carryover to all Konnect categories. You may toggle between categories from the lefthand dashboard (accessible by selecting the 3 line icon in top left corner) and selecting Switch Category.
Can I pay a Pro through Konnect?
Yes, you can access your PayPal account through the Konnect app and transfer funds directly from your PayPal account to your Pro. To do so, choose the Wallet option from the lefthand dashboard. Then enter your PayPal account information by selecting “PayPay Email ID.” After saving your Paypal Email ID, select the “Pay Professional” option and enter your Pro’s username and payment amount. A PayPal window will then open up and ask you to re-enter your account information. The funds will be transferred directly from your PayPal account to your Pro’s PayPal account (assuming your Pro has set up their PayPal account on Konnect. Konnect does not charge a fee, although PayPal does charge a transaction fee.
Can I get a refund from a Pro?
Refunds depend on the policies of the Professional engaged and you should contact them. If you used the Wallet functionality in Konnect to pay a Pro through PayPal, the Pro does have the ability to refund the payment through PayPal if they so choose.
How does Konnect help me attract new clients?
With a growing database of Service Professionals, clients looking for fitness instructors, tutors, wellness professionals and more are increasingly finding Konnect to be a one-stop marketplace for personal services. Once a client has downloaded the app, they can easily browse the profiles of Pros in their community based on location and specialization. Additionally, Pros can search for clients who are in the market looking for their service specialty.
How does Konnect help me service my existing clients?
The calendar and the payment services can be used immediately to help better serve existing clients. The calendar allows your clients to view your schedule and request appointments. You will be given the opportunity to confirm or refuse the appointment. If you confirm, your calendar is automatically updated.
How do I contact clients?
At the top right corner of every profile page for Clients and Pros is a message field icon (looks like a paragraph callout). Simply select this icon and a messaging page opens up. Type a message in the field and select the arrow to the right. This will send a message to their Konnect Inbox.
How much does it cost?
Most of the features are free. The only features that cost money are additional storage space (to upload more media) and preferential placement on the Explore page through the Featured Listing program.
How do I set my working hours for use with the Calendar booking service?

When you have set your schedule for the week, click on the checkmark icon at the top right, which will then save your schedule. You may select a Private Appointment (1 on 1), a Group Session (2 to 50 people) or Block Out Time if you want to make a period in the work day unavailable (e.g. lunch). Once you have selected the start and end times and saved the appointment or event, it will appear on the calendar. Clicking on the name of the event will take you to the Event page. From the Event page you can invite the other participant(s) by selected the “+” sign and entering their username. As you type the first few letters of the Username, members will automatically be suggested. Select the correct Username and then remember to click on the checkmark icon at the top right to confirm your selections.

How do I use the blog?
The blog is a great way to stay top-of-mind with your clients plus garner interest from potential new clients. To create a blog, just select Profile from the lefthand dashboard (accessible by clicking on the 3 line icon top left). Once on the Profile page select Blog. From the My Blogs page, select the icon at the top right to create a new blog. Remember to click the checkmark at top right to save the draft. A published Blog may be shared via email, Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
How do I upload an image or video?
A great way to demonstrate your expertise and dazzle prospective new clients is to let them experience your technique with images and video. For image files, you can upload a variety of file types such as jpeg and png. For video files you can both upload from your own computer as well as embed a link to a YouTube video. Please note that maximum upload size of a single video is 10MB, and total free storage space available at 60MB. If you wish more storage space beyond 60MB, you may buy storage upgrades on the Wallet page.
To upload media, start by navigating to your Profile page (accessible from the lefthand dashboard). From the Profile page select Media, then select the + sign in the upper right corner. You have the option of uploading pictures, videos or embedding a Youtube link.
How do I use the Wallet?
The Wallet can be accessed from the lefthand dashboard (accessible by selecting the 3-line icon top left). From the Wallet page you can buy Featured Listing and Additional Storage. You can also enable payment from Clients by entering your PayPal Email ID. If you have set up PayPal in the Wallet, Clients can send payment directly from their PayPal account to yours.
How do I get paid?
Payment collection can be accomplished either online through PayPal or through other offline means. If you choose to have the Clients pay you directly through PayPal via the Konnect app, you will only be charged transaction fees by PayPal. Konnect charges no additional transaction fees. See “How do I use the Wallet” above regarding setting up your PayPal account on Konnect.
May I require prepayment from clients?
It’s up to you. We would suggest that, at most, you ask for a deposit or partial payment to set up an appointment with the balance after the appointment.
What is the refund policy?
Konnect does not give a refund on the purchase of storage space upgrades or the Featured Listing program.
Regarding refunds for services provided by Pros to Clients, it is up to the Pros to set their own refund policies.
How do clients rate Pros?
After every appointment that was booked through the Konnect calendar, the Client will receive a notification requesting that she rate the Pro with whom she just had an appointment. The Client will be asked to give a title for the review, as well as write a statement. The Client may also rate the Pro on the following criteria: knowledge, punctuality, professionalism and price. Based on the number of stars received for each of the criterion, an average rating will be computed on a scale from 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest rating and 5 the highest rating. These ratings will be part of the Pro’s profile and are accessible to Konnect members. They also factor in to how profiles are ranked in searches.
Can Pros advertise on Konnect?
Absolutely! The Featured Listing program is designed to provide Pros access to targeted new clients looking for Service Professionals in their communities. The Featured Pros will show up on Clients’ homepages and near the top of search results. Promotion through the Featured Listing program can be purchased from the Wallet page.
